Alycia D. Drake - Fiduciary Services Manager
Alycia has been employed with Connelly Law Offices since 2009 and her responsibilities include overseeing all financial matters pertaining to client and corporate accounts. Her primary responsibilities are to perform the accounting, billing, and bookkeeping functions for Rhode Island Elder Law Attorney, Connelly Law Offices, Ltd. and provides oversight for general office operations and all staff.
She works closely with Attorney R.J. Connelly III, Rhode Island Elder Law Attorney, on a daily basis to provide financial stability and optimize each client's individual financial situation. She handles the imperative financial functions in relation to client funds ranging from small estates to very large trust accounts inclusive of bank reconciliations and preparation of all financial reports. She coordinates with accountants, tax advisors, financial planners, and investment advisors.
Alycia's responsibilities include drafting all fiduciary, estate and trust accountings. She also manages the three corporate entities associated with Connelly Law, Rhode Island elder Law Attorney, maintaining all bank accounts, the preparation of tax-related documents, accounts payable and accounts receivable and provides supervision to the staff in the fiduciary department. She interacts daily with clients, vendors, beneficiaries, and others with respect to all financial matters.
Prior to coming to Connelly Law, she provided financial oversite for several small businesses and was an instructor for a non-profit agency, teaching computer and financial literacy skills to adults of all ages. In that role, she taught the skills required to manage personal financial matters in an efficient manner, including the knowledge of making appropriate decisions about investing, insurance, credit management, real estate, paying for college, budgeting, retirement and tax planning.
She has completed advanced training through QuickBooks and has received certification in Microsoft Office, proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. She continues to further her knowledge and expertise through continuing education classes, seminars and workshops.
